Circular Economy: ECOBULK project developments

We attended the ECOBULK technical meeting in England, which took place on 17 and 18 June, at the University of Warwick, in Coventry to talk about circular economy, sustainability and innovation.

Specifically, the partners present the circular solutions developed for the three target sectors: the automotive sector, the furniture sector and the construction sector. In particular, research on innovative strategies and the first prototypes and business models were presented.

After introducing two new international partners, which became part of the ECOBULK team, the challenges and opportunities related to the development of circular value chains were deepened, focusing on all stages of the supply chain, from the design of modular and circular products, to the optimization of waste management.

The objective of the project is to make the circular economy model applicable to different business sectors, in order to benefit the environment and the economy along the different supply chains.

ECOBULK is a multidisciplinary project funded by the European Union involving 29 partners from 11 European countries.
